House Updates

For a housewarming/anniversary gift my parents surprised us and bought us an ahhhh-mazing California King size Tempurpedic mattress set, which was something had always dreamed of having and were beyond excited about!!! We are still looking for a bedroom furniture set but until then we have a standard frame we put it on and moved our queen set into the guest room. This last weekend we had my mom, my sister, and her two boys come to visit us. It was a full house but we had so much fun and it was wonderful to have room for everyone!

Here are a few picture updates!

Guest room is complete!

And since the last pictures of our house showed the office in shambles, here it is all unpacked!

7-Months-Old

This last month the boys fully discovered playing with their feet, rolling all over the house, sitting up, and scooting in circles (but only in reverse). Lucas especially likes to scoot backwards and if you put him on the floor and walk away he will be somewhere completely different when you come back. Baby proofing is in it's initial stages. :) As posted earlier, they love to eat and explore their solid foods. I think Andrew's favorite is carrots and for Lucas I would probably say watermelon or cucumber. They have tried lentils, pinto beans, veggies, fruits, oatmeal, and they like to drink water from their bottle along with plenty of milk. Lucas likes to hold his own bottle sometimes as well, which is very helpful for this momma feeding two babies on her own at the same time!

Lucas is almost 19 pounds and is 27.5 inches, and Andrew is almost 17 pounds and is 26.5 inches.

This last month in pictures:

Let's start with some pictures of sleeping babies because what's sweeter?! :)
Lucas loves the Nuk paci and we just went to the 6-month size. He also loves his little bear and rubs it all over his face while falling asleep. He also likes to sit it on his head sometimes which is too cute!
Andrew loves his WubbaNub (not pictured) which is a paci attached to a little stuffed animal.

Most of our day is spend playing on the floor in the playroom. We hang out on the rug with our toys or in our ExerSaucer, Walker, or Jumper. We have to take turns because we only have one of each, but that is okay!
Floor time
We like to sit on mom at the same time and get "pony rides"
Andrew in the Jumper and Lucas in the Walker. He pushed himself over to Andrew to play together.... cue the "Awwww" for adorableness
We still love to read books but we also like to eat them now too
And stealing toys has already begun. They can have the same exact toy and want the one the other has. Then I switch them and once again they want the other one. We will be learning sharing very early apparently ;)

We love to play outside in our backyard every day!
Sometimes your brother's bun make for a good pillow when you're enjoying a sunny day
And rough housing has begun as well. Oh my.
We like to throw Hunter's toy for him every night before bath time
The rolls and chubs. I love it. My Chunky Cheeks.
Andrew likes to flail his arms when he is excited. You can kind of see it in this picture
The squishiness. *sigh of happiness* My Squishy Cheeks

We celebrated out first 4th of July! Our new neighborhood puts on a parade and activities every year so this year we watched the parade from our front yard. Next year we'll join in!

And if you are wondering what Lucas is wearing, this is his new cranial helmet. When he was born he had torticollis (which basically means he didn't know how to turn his head and had stiff muscles in his neck) and plagiocephaly (which means a flat spot from not turning his head). We think it's because he was Baby A and stuck so far down for so long that he couldn't turn his head in utero and so when he was born we had to take him to physical therapy and teach him how to turn his head. He wears this helmet for 23 hours per day and it allows for space for his skull to round out so in about three months he should have a nice, round head. Thankfully he doesn't mind it too much! Matt picked out the carbon fiber design, obviously, haha!

The twins are also very into playing games like Peek-A-Boo now. I couldn't get them to laugh on camera but they normally crack up!
