Our New Home!

Address announcements are on their way out but here are some pictures to share with you! We spent the last two weeks having everything painted, top to bottom, and had new carpet installed in the bedrooms. Matt took off last week and we started packing but by the end of the week we still had a ton to do! My church is full of the most awesome people EVER though and they came together to make sure we were packed on time! People I'd never met, good friends, and even some little ones came over to help out. (Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!) Then Thursday night my parents drove up and on Friday morning they helped me and the boys while Matt met with the movers, and then my parents spent all weekend helping us unpack, settle in, watch the boys, wear out Hunter, and complete any home improvement projects like changing light fixtures, outlets, and plugs (it's great having an electrician for a dad!), as well as shower heads, hanging curtains/rods, building cabinets, cleaning our old place, and then gave Matt a hand putting some things in our attic. We could not have done this without everyone's help! We hope you'll come visit and enjoy our new space with us!!

XOXO,
Team Scott

6-Months-Old

Where has the time gone???? I am so not ready for my babies to be 6-months-old already!!!

They are both rolling over, scooting around on their tummies and practicing skills for crawling, playing with their feet, constantly playing with their hands in their mouth, transferring toys from hand to hand, and practicing sitting up. Here's this last month in pictures:

We took the boys to they first baseball game with our friends, the Andersons and their sweet little baby girl, Olivia. While we didn't see much of the game so we could sit in the shade, we did manage to stay the whole time! Can't wait to go see the San Jose Giants again!

We bought our first house! It's a 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom home in San Jose. I'm so proud of Matt and his hard work to make this huge dream a reality! More pictures to follow after we move in this weekend!

The boys are growing soooo fast! We have their 6-month check up in a few weeks and we can't wait to see the numbers for their weights and heights. Lucas is now fitting into 9-month clothes and Andrew is still fitting into 6-month clothes.

These two LOVE to play together. They notice when the other one comes into the room and they "talk" back and forth with one another, and even try to copy each other it seems. With packing to move, it has been so nice to let them entertain one another for a bit so I can get a few things done around the house.

They are also very into one another's space. Usually it's not a problem and they don't mind the other one chomping on their fingers or toes, or rolling on top of them, or sucking on their arm. It's just life with a brother!

And as long as they're fed and rested, these boys are all smiles! It's the best! They love to laugh, read, play with toys, take baths, snuggle, watch Hunter run around, pet Hunter, and watch Mom and Dad make silly faces and talk to them.

5-Months-Old

It feels fitting that on Mother's Day our little peanuts turned 5-months-old. :) It seems like just yesterday I went in for a check-up and found out we'd be delivering them in a few hours!

.........

Well, let me tell you, 3-months was great! We found a routine, learned our groove, and had a great little system in place.... and then 4-months hit. Hard. And it became my least favorite month so far. All the gloriousness of 3-months quickly fell apart as sleep regression hit in the midst of Matt traveling to China, our first trip away from home, and me staying at my parent's house. Someone was up every hour of the night to eat, or needing a paci, or not able to sleep, or having tummy issues. To say it was an absolutely exhausting couple of weeks would be an understatement. My mom was able to help me with some of the feedings while I was at her house for almost two weeks but mainly I was up trying to keep the boys quiet so my parents could get some sleep for work. During that time I got sick with a sore throat and stuffy nose and so did Lucas. Last month the boys decided that the world around them was suddenly much more exciting than eating and it became quite a chore to get a full meal into them. The whole month was an exhausting and stressful blur but I am happy to say that as we neared 5-months things seemed to come back together and they started sleeping and eating better again.

The boys have discovered one another and like to smile and "talk" to each other in long conversations, and they really like playing with their toys and watching the world around them. Currently, their favorite toys are their hands, which pretty much never leave their mouths. They both roll over from their tummy to their back and Lucas can now roll from his back to his tummy too. Andrew likes to lay on his back, push with his feet on the ground, and scoot around. No more leaving them on Mom and Dad's bed. :)

Here are some pictures from our last month!

We have VERY busy hands and sometimes Momma encourages us to hold our own bottle with them
We loooove smiling when we see people we know!
Cousins Ben & Nathan thought we would like to play with all our toys at once...
...what helpful cousins! ;)
Playtime at Grandma Donna's
We finally fit in our walker toy from Cousin Holly....
...although we do need a pillow under our feet since they don't touch the ground yet
We LOVE to read books! We especially like looking at the pictures
We started out in the same direction, on opposite sides of the blanket, and ended up like this
Just chillin' on a hot day during our Southern CA vacation
Our special sleep suits from Cousin Danielle to help muffle our startle reflex which wakes us up at night
And a bonus is how funny and adorable we look in them!

We started wearing 6-month sized clothes while we were 4-months-old. We're getting so big!
